notes Wednesday 18th sept

Summary of lesson- Simple things about the cameras I learnt two years ago and everyone should know by now and we shouldn't be wasting good lesson time on.

( have highlighted everything iv'e slightly learnt)

Nd filter
Neutral density filter
sunglasses for the camera, used to help transition from outside to inside easily.

zooming
Manual zoom is a ring but auto is the buttons with t for tighten and w for widen on them and the top one has sexting for speed whereas the bottom button is pressure sensitive.

focus ring
focal length

Iris ring
manual
when its brighter make the iris smaller
f-stop 
when the iris is large and open the f-stop is something like f2.4, smaller but when the iris is small and closed it'll be a higher number like f22. 
f-8 and be there so f-8 is an average setting that should always be okay but not the best. 

Gain
don't use
Amplifying video
its for if you have a dark image and you can't see it'll amplify it but make it grainy and bad footage.

White balance
store 'a' setting and 'b' setting so you can sort the white balance then swap through them as you move to correct rooms. 

Audio
Channel volume
Chanel 1 and Chanel 2
int and ext mic

Zebra
makes lines where things are over exposed
always use on 100%

Shot types

Locked off is when the legs and camera are locked in to place, this can do the shot types, wide, mid, close. 

Dolly There/Back (forwards)
track Left/ right
Pan and tilt
High Pov/ low pov
Crane, moving up to down
Dutch, tilt/rotate
